Every year, American Express Business Travel EMEA organises a Good Citizenship Week, celebrating one of the most revered of our company's 'Blue Box Values'.

This year, the charity of choice was Médecins sans Frontières - Artsen zonder Grenzen.

In the BeLux, our staff arranged a small range of actions to support MsF/AzG and to generate donations from other staff members.

1. For a whole week a large part of staff set to baking and cooking to prepare the most delicious cakes and cookies for internal sales.  Other staff members set out to sell the goods throughout the company.

2. With the benevolent participation of many of our preferred suppliers, we were able to organise an internal tombola with prizes ranging from mugs to pens to airplane tickets and hotel stays.  In total, no less than 166 prizes were made available by suppliers.

3. During the week from 14 until 18 June, our management picked the busiest day - in terms of ticket issuance - and donated EUR 1,- per ticket issued on that day.

As a result of all these initiatives, we were able to donate a cheque of no less than EUR 6297,45 to MsF/AzG, represented by Mrs. Colpaert.
