Following a agreement between EU and US authorities, all major
GDS's (computer reservation systems) have been obliged to give US
authorities access to the passenger data held in their system. Data
includes names, itineraries and credit card details of passengers
flying to the US.
Neither the GDS's, nor the airlines or travel agents have any choice
in the matter.
As such, passengers who refuse to share their data can be barred
from traveling to the United States.
